Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Masters degree preferred; 1 year cardiac rehab experience preferred.
• RCEP or CCRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and implement exercise programs for all phases of cardiac rehab.
• Document education, progression, and patient responses in EMR; communicate with healthcare team.
• Assist with insurance authorization, scheduling, and billing per established care plans.
• Conduct stress testing when needed and interpret test results.
• Intervene immediately to patient deterioration and document events.
• Ensure patients and families understand education, plan of care, and goals.
• Create educational materials and provide exercise technique instruction.
• Provide clinical oversight for exercise across all risk levels.
• Stay current with new programs and developments in the exercise field.
