Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science (preferred).
• 1 year experience in cardiac rehabilitation (preferred).
• RCEP or CCRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and evaluates exercise programs for all phases of rehabilitation.
• Maintains EMR documentation and communicates with patient and healthcare team on education and progress.
• Assists with insurance authorization, scheduling, and billing per plans of care.
• Conducts stress testing as needed and interprets results; seeks medical evaluation when indicated.
• Intervenes promptly when a patient adverse responds and documents events.
• Ensures patients and families understand education, plan of care, and goals.
• Creates educational materials and session for patients and teaches exercise techniques.
• Provides clinical oversight of exercise for patients at all risk levels.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date on new programs and developments in Exercise field.
