Job summary

Silver Pines Treatment Center in Mahanoy City, PA is seeking a Full-time Behavioral Health Technician for 2nd shift. The role involves assisting clients with daily living, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic milieu on site.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year mental health experience, and CPR/First Aid certification. TB clearance and CPI training within 3 months are expected. Compensation is $16.00–$17.00 per hour for the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1+ year experience with clients with mental health issues.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to complete within 30 days.
• TB clearance and CPI training within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical team to determine appropriate interventions for individual clients.
• Actively engages clients in milieu and activities throughout the workday.
• Prompts clients to complete ADLs and ensures hygiene and room checks.
• Conducts drug screening, pregnancy tests, and breathalyzers as necessary.
• Supervises meals and maintains a structured mealtime environment.
• Maintains a therapeutic environment in collaboration with staff.
• Therapeutically interacts with clients in one-to-one, group, and community settings.
