Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium in Alaska is seeking a Clinical Assistant 2 to support a rural ambulatory care clinic with vital signs, POCT, and basic clinical tasks. You will assist providers, prepare patients for visits, and help maintain clinic operations and patient flow.

The role requires CMA certification, BLS, and experience with EMR systems; several benefits are offered including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification required; higher-level certification considered.
• Knowledge of clinic procedures and vital signs per protocol.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visit by reviewing chart and needed forms.
• Obtain and record age-appropriate vital signs.
• Collect and document medical history and medication history.
• Perform basic clinical tasks and administer nebulizer treatments, cast removal, DM foot screenings as competency permits.
• Assist with procedures, POCT, specimen collection, and chair-side support.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and proper disposal of waste.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions per provider orders.
