Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is hiring Clinical Assistants to support individuals across multiple Capital Region locations. Compensation is commensurate with experience and program needs.

The role involves assisting with daily care, promoting independence, and participating in interdisciplinary teams. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred), 1+ year of related work with developmental disabilities, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification and SCIP-R Certification must be completed within the first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting, providing and promoting independence in the daily treatment, care and services of the people we support.
• Serve as members of the individuals’ planning, implementation and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assisting in the implementation of individualized residential habilitation services.
• Respect the individuals’ personal choice, lifestyles and their dignity to take informed risks.
