The Center for Disability Services is hiring Clinical Assistants in Scotia, NY, to support individuals in daily treatment and care. The ideal candidate will assist in promoting independence and participate in interdisciplinary teams.

A high school diploma is required, along with at least one year of experience. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and obtaining specific certifications within the first months of employment. Compensation ranges from $18.69 to $19.80 per hour.

Competenze

• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities required.
• Must have a valid NYS driver's license in good standing.
• Certifications in OPWDD Medication Administration and First Aid/CPR required within three months.

Mansioni

• Implement individualized residential habilitation services.

Rate of pay is commensurate on experience, Residential Program acuity, shift differentials and completion of additional trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assisting, providing and promoting independence in the daily treatment, care and services of the people we support.
• Serve as members of the individuals’ planning, implementation and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assisting in the implementation of individualized residential habilitation services
• Respect the individuals’ personal choice, lifestyles and their dignity to take informed risks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities requiredMust be at least 18 years old to apply for this position
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must have a valid NYS driver’s license in good standing
• OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification and SCIP-R Certification must be completed within the first three months of employment (in addition to other program specific training required during first six months of employment)
