Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking Clinical Assistants to support individuals in their daily treatment, care and services across multiple locations in the Capital Region. We emphasize independence, respect, and individual choice in a collaborative team setting.

Qualified applicants will have a High School diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred), at least 1 year of relevant experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and NYS driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities required.
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid NYS driver’s license in good standing.
• OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification and SCIP-R Certification must be completed within the first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting, providing and promoting independence in daily treatment, care and services.
• Serve as members of the individuals’ planning, implementation and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assisting in the implementation of individualized residential habilitation services.
• Respect the individuals’ personal choice, lifestyles and their dignity to take informed risks.

Rate of pay is commensurate on experience, Residential Program acuity, shift differentials and completion of additional trainings.

Compensation Range:

$18.69 - $19.80
