Job summary

Center for Disability Services, Inc. seeks Clinical Assistants to join our agency with opportunities at multiple locations throughout the Capital Region.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and program needs; rate is between $18.69 and $19.80 per hour, with shift differentials and trainings affecting pay. Responsibilities include promoting independence in daily treatment, collaborating with planning and interdisciplinary teams, and supporting individualized residential habilitation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid NYS driver’s license in good standing.
• Certification in OPWDD Medication Administration, First Aid/CPR, and SCIP-R must be completed within first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and promoting independence in daily treatment, care and services.
• Serve as member of individuals’ planning and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist in implementing individualized residential habilitation services.
• Respect individuals’ personal choices and dignity.

Rate of pay is commensurate on experience, Residential Program acuity, shift differentials and completion of additional trainings.

• Assisting, providing and promoting independence in the daily treatment, care and services of the people we support.
• Serve as members of the individuals’ planning, implementation and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assisting in the implementation of individualized residential habilitation services
• Respect the individuals’ personal choice, lifestyles and their dignity to take informed risks.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities required
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must have a valid NYS driver’s license in good standing
• OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification and SCIP-R Certification must be completed within the first three months of employment (in addition to other program specific training required during first six months of employment)
