Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in the Capital Region seeks Clinical Assistants to support individuals in daily treatment and care. You will join interdisciplinary teams to promote independence and person-centered plans.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, 1 year of related experience with Developmental Disabilities, and ability to lift 50 pounds. NYS driver’s license required; certification trainings to be completed within three to six months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist, provide and promote independence in daily treatment, care and services.
• Serve as a member of individuals’ planning, implementation and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist in implementing individualized residential habilitation services.
• Respect individuals’ personal choices, lifestyles and dignity to take informed risks.
