Taylor Regional Hospital is seeking a Diet Clerk / Cook to join the team in the hospital cafe. The incumbent will prepare meals per recipes and dietary guidelines, support tray assembly, and assist with daily department operations.

This on-site role emphasizes accuracy, food safety, and patient-centered service. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and 2–3 years of cooking experience, with strong customer service and communication skills to coordinate meals and respond to dietary

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years experience as a cook preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and prescribed dietary guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient diet records, process diet orders, and update menus as needed.
• Visit patients to assist with meal selections and identify food preferences.
• Coordinate patient meal trays, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with dietary restrictions.
• Assist with tray line operations, food preparation, and meal delivery.
• Monitor food temperatures, cooking times, and safe food handling practices in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist with opening and closing the department and coordinating daily operations in the absence of supervisory staff.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer departmental calls, and address questions or concerns.
• Perform cashier duties, balance daily receipts, and prepare deposits and sales reports as assigned.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and prescribed dietary guidelines.
