Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a unit coordinator to support the patient care team. You will provide clinical and administrative assistance on the unit under a nurse's direction to ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will maintain electronic medical records, assist with non-clinical issues, help with patient throughput, and act as a central resource for the patient’s medical record for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and hospital team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; BLS certification advisable.
• Experience in clinical care preferred; CATP training program completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide both clinical and administrative assistance on the unit under the direction of a nurse.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records for the patient care team.
• Act as the unit coordinator for non-clinical issues and help with patient throughput.
• Serve as a central resource for the patient’s medical record and respond to patient/family requests.
