Primary Purpose of Position

To teach graduate‑level clinical courses and clinical‑related undergraduate courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate‑level clinical courses and clinical‑related undergraduate courses.
  • Hold office hours for planning, grading, and meeting with students.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Emphasis on classroom management and service to the department.
  • Computer knowledge and willingness to train, with mandatory use of Canvas.
  • Strong communication skills with students.
  • Licensed psychologist in North Carolina, with the ability to supervise practicum students.
  • Teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level is preferred, along with lesson‑planning and class‑management skills.
  • Familiarity with Canvas platform.
  • Knowledge and experience with various assessments (personality, cognitive, neuropsychological, psychoeducational) and report writing.
  • Therapeutic experience with psychodynamic therapy, cognitive‑behavioral therapy, Adlerian therapy, Gestalt therapy, existential therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and family therapy.
  • Familiarity with writing treatment plans and progress notes.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology or related field.
Licensing and Certification
  • Licensed psychologist in North Carolina.
  • Willing to supervise practicum students.
