Primary Purpose of Position
To teach graduate‑level clinical courses and clinical‑related undergraduate courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate‑level clinical courses and clinical‑related undergraduate courses.
- Hold office hours for planning, grading, and meeting with students.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Emphasis on classroom management and service to the department.
- Computer knowledge and willingness to train, with mandatory use of Canvas.
- Strong communication skills with students.
- Licensed psychologist in North Carolina, with the ability to supervise practicum students.
- Teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level is preferred, along with lesson‑planning and class‑management skills.
- Familiarity with Canvas platform.
- Knowledge and experience with various assessments (personality, cognitive, neuropsychological, psychoeducational) and report writing.
- Therapeutic experience with psychodynamic therapy, cognitive‑behavioral therapy, Adlerian therapy, Gestalt therapy, existential therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and family therapy.
- Familiarity with writing treatment plans and progress notes.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology or related field.
Licensing and Certification
- Licensed psychologist in North Carolina.
- Willing to supervise practicum students.
