Primary Purpose of Position

To teach graduate‑level clinical courses and clinical‑related undergraduate courses.

Responsibilities

Teach graduate‑level clinical courses and clinical‑related undergraduate courses.
Hold office hours for planning, grading, and meeting with students.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Emphasis on classroom management and service to the department.
Computer knowledge and willingness to train, with mandatory use of Canvas.
Strong communication skills with students.
Licensed psychologist in North Carolina, with the ability to supervise practicum students.
Teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level is preferred, along with lesson‑planning and class‑management skills.
Familiarity with Canvas platform.
Knowledge and experience with various assessments (personality, cognitive, neuropsychological, psychoeducational) and report writing.
Therapeutic experience with psychodynamic therapy, cognitive‑behavioral therapy, Adlerian therapy, Gestalt therapy, existential therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and family therapy.
Familiarity with writing treatment plans and progress notes.

Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology or related field.

Licensing and Certification

Licensed psychologist in North Carolina.
Willing to supervise practicum students.
