Job summary

Central City Concern seeks a Client Access Specialist I to join our clinic operations in Portland. You will welcome patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, schedule appointments across providers, and support the front desk with a warm, trauma-informed approach.

The role requires accuracy in data entry, strong customer service, and the ability to navigate complex scheduling while maintaining HIPAA privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year medical office experience, or 2 years in high-volume public contact role.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm with distressed patients.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.
• Adherence to non-discrimination policies.
• Ability to interact with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client-centered, trauma-informed integrated services.
• Greet patients and visitors and provide information.
• Enter demographics and schedule appointments for multiple providers.
• Verify insurance and collect payments.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow.
