Job summary

University of Southern California seeks a Clinic Assistant in Los Angeles, CA for a 12-month fixed-term position. The role entails scheduling, chart prep, room setup, and assisting clinicians with exams, with an hourly rate of $23.

Responsibilities include maintaining records and inventory, and supporting providers as needed. This position is on-site and part of USC’s clinical operations, offering opportunities to contribute to patient care and workflow efficiency within the USC medical services

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience; combined education/experience acceptable.
• Medical office management and medical secretarial experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments, answer questions and obtain authorizations; maintain master calendar.
• Prepare patient charts, set up exam rooms, assist clinicians during exams and manage patient flow.
• Assist providers with environment setup and non-patient tasks; act as chaperone when needed.
• Maintain files/records and oversee equipment and supply inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned; USC reserves right to modify duties.
