Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Faculty Group Practice Patient Care Assistant to support both administrative and direct patient care activities in a fast-paced setting. You will greet patients, manage intake and registrations, handle phone calls, and help with appointment scheduling while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will contribute to efficient workflows by escorting patients, preparing exam rooms, updating medical records in EPIC, and assisting with lab specimen collection as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years.
• Working knowledge of English in verbal, reading and writing abilities; other language is a plus.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, handles intake and registration, and collects co-payments.
• Answers phones, schedules appointments, and routes calls as needed.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms for providers.
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance throughout care delivery.
• Document patient information in EPIC and promote Check Mate kiosk use.
• Support administrative tasks, including front-end work queues and referrals.
