Job summary

Vail Health Hospital in Florida is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to join our administrative team. You will answer incoming calls, coordinate scheduling with providers, and route messages to the right departments using our EHR scheduling system.

This role requires attention to patient demographics, insurance details, and HIPAA compliance. Prior medical office experience is preferred, and PRN benefits include wellbeing reimbursement funds and 403(b) eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, fielding questions about scheduling with providers, directing calls to appropriate parties, taking and distributing messages, and scheduling appointments. Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers, etc. Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and/or procedures, leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) scheduling software. Obtains patient demographics with accuracy to include but not limited to patient address information, telephone number and insurance information from the patient. Distributes faxes helps manage needed requests.
