Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support patients with compassionate nursing care and coordinate with providers to ensure positive outcomes.

The role includes triage, scheduling, phlebotomy, EKGs, medication administration, patient education, and documentation in the electronic health record. A sign-on bonus of up to $4,000 is offered, with a standard hourly pay rate for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Education sufficient to obtain required licensure.
• Current RN license in IA or compact state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Mandatory reporter training (Iowa).

Responsabilités

• Triages patients in person or by phone.
• Schedules appointments and determines need for provider intervention.
• Liaises between providers and patients.
• Handles medication requests/changes/refills per protocols.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection as ordered.
• Conducts EKGs and vital signs per clinic protocol.
• Documents accurately in the EHR and follows safety guidelines.
• Provides patient education and cross-coverage as needed.
