Job summary

This role may involve floating to other units to meet patient care needs. The ideal candidate has RN licensure with BLS and typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with applicable state privileges and BLS certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patient/family engagement.
• Monitors patient conditions, updates care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Maintains a culture of safety and follows ethical guidelines and professional standards.
• Documents accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Exhibits effective communication, feedback, and proper delegation within the team.
• May float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs.
