Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse to deliver high-quality patient care across various units. You will assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care, while collaborating with the care team and engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and adherence to safety protocols. A BSN is preferred, with an active RN license and BLS. May float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication and fosters team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
