Job summary

MercyOne Health System is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to greet patients and visitors, manage front desk duties, schedule appointments, and verify insurance in the EHR. You will handle phone inquiries and collect copays at the time of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within three months of hire.
• Must read, write and understand English, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with patient information.
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity and caring aligned with Trinity Health values.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients and visitors to the clinic.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including patient flow and scheduling appointments.
• Validate insurance eligibility and enter demographics into the EHR.
• Collect time of service payments and/or past due balances at visit.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
