Job summary

Samuel Mahelona Mem Hosp in Kaua'i region seeks a Clinic Receptionist I to welcome patients, collect data and enter it into the system. You’ll schedule visits and referrals, maintain records and handle clerical duties under supervision. Occasional weekend/holiday work and site flexibility are required.

The role supports clinics in the Kaua'i Region, including KVMH and SMMH, in a patient‑centered outpatient setting with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• General clerical experience and good English grammar, spelling and arithmetic.
• Current Hawai'i driver’s license, Type #3 preferred.
• Ability to interview patients, gather information and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors at clinics or outpatient services unit.
• Interview patients to obtain required data and input into computer system.
• Schedule appointments, diagnostic studies, outpatient procedures and referrals.
• Prepare, file and maintain patient medical records and related documents.
• Perform fiscal record keeping and other clerical duties as required.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays and cover multiple sites within the region.
