Job summary

Gulf Coast Spine in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an Office Manager / RN to oversee clinic operations in a non-exempt, hourly role. Reports to Clinical Operations Manager. Primary duties include staff training, patient demographics, insurance verification, and liaison with billing.

The position requires a high school diploma; a bachelor’s in health services administration or business is preferred. Two years of medical office management and leadership experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree health services administration or business field preferred.
• 2 years’ experience managing a medical office.
• 2 years’ experience in personnel management and/or supervising a department.
• 2 years of Leadership experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Train and orient new clinic staff to policies, procedures, standards of conduct and clinic operations.
• Oversee patient demographics and insurance verification related to patient accounts.
• Act as liaison between patients and billing department.
• Ensure staff are trained in insurance requirements and up to date with payor changes.
• Hire and evaluate staff; conduct 90 day/annual performance reviews.
