Job summary

The Practice Manager at Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, Inc. will oversee daily, multidisciplinary operations across clinics, supervise Registration staff, and ensure patient and employee safety through effective policies and workflows.

Ideal candidates bring a healthcare administration background, 3–5 years of leadership experience, and the ability to problem-solve, communicate clearly, and engage a diverse group of staff and stakeholders in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in health care administration or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years supervisory/leadership experience.
• Must successfully pass annual Registration Clerk competency.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, manages and coordinates work schedules and assignments to meet operational needs across clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Provides collaborative management of clinical and non-clinical staff, with direct supervision of Registration staff, and serves as primary contact for all employees in the building.
• Assists in managing the patient experience by monitoring patient satisfaction and processing patient complaints across multiple service lines.
• Plays a key role in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure patient and employee safety.
• Actively participates in the delivery of quality services by providing ongoing training and development of staff.
• Assists in fostering CHC/SEK’s culture by ensuring employee engagement initiatives and activities are promoted.
• Communicates clinic services, programs and updates clearly within the clinic, to staff, and at local community events.
• Monitors CHC/SEK facilities and grounds for cleanliness and safety; reports maintenance needs to Facilities Department.
• Manages consistent operational workflows through policy reinforcement; counsels staff when policies are violated.
• Welcomes new employees or students and assists with onboarding and mentoring, as requested.
• Respects and maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA and CHC/SEK policies.
