Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in the United States is seeking an Operations Leader for the clinic/department to organize and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring continuity and quality of patient care by following clinic protocols and supervising staff.

You will assist the Practice Manager in day-to-day management of PSR, opticians and ophthalmic assistants while coordinating staffing, scheduling, and performance reviews with physicians.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of current experience working in a clinical setting.
• Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and manages the operation of the clinic/department to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
• Assists the Practice manager in day-to-day management of PSR, opticians, and ophthalmic assistants.
• Directs work of staff including supervision, hiring, terminations, staffing planning, and performance feedback.
• Meets with practice manager and physicians; approves or updates timecards and resolves patient complaints.
• Communicates information to all staff, managers, and physicians as necessary.
