Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an operations leader to organize and manage the clinic/department, ensuring continuity and quality of patient care while supervising PSR, opticians and ophthalmic assistants. You will partner with the practice manager to optimize day-to-day operations and staff performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, supervising hiring and terminations, and driving smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of current experience working in a clinical setting.
• Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite.
• 1 year of lead experience (preferred)

• Works with department health care team ensuring smooth patient flow within department. Use Standard tools to monitor individual and departmental performance on key metrics.
• Determines appropriate staffing mix and amount to meet routine and special patient needs and arranges staff coverage. Responsible for the day-to-day operations. Takes a leadership role in problem solving with employees and patients.
• Directs work of staff, including supervision, hiring, and terminations; determines staffing needs, and ensure efficient utilization of staff. Monitors skill development and performance of the staff. Provide orientation for all new staff and coaches for high performance. Gives regular performance feedback and conducts performance appraisals
• Meets regularly with practice manager and physicians. Performs other duties including approving/updating timecards as indicated by CPM, researching and resolving customer complaints
• Communicates information to all staff, manager, and physicians, as necessary

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 – $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
