Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant for the West Palm Beach, FL site expansion. The role supports physicians, nurses, and APCs by preparing patients and rooms, taking vital signs, drawing blood, and handling lab samples, while also performing administrative tasks like scheduling and data entry.

The candidate will work with EPIC EMR and MyChart, ensuring accurate patient records, coordinating care, and promoting a positive patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Certification from a Nationally Recognized body (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA) on hire or at time of hire.
• Working knowledge of English (verbal, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Measures and records patient vital signs.
• Obtains and processes blood samples per policy.
• Transcribes visit into EPIC and documents encounter.
• Answers phone calls and manages inbasket messages.
• Reviews and responds to patient messages and referrals.
• Assists with prescription refills and patient intake.
