Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking a seasoned supervisor to lead the daily operations of the department's appointment desks. You will supervise staff, plan staffing, and drive training initiatives to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include enforcing policies, monitoring performance, and developing unit systems that improve service delivery while maintaining high morale and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, professional presentation.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment and resolve conflicts.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop department staff.
• Monitor performance using available PM data to improve operations.
• Ensure internal controls, backups, and policy guidelines are communicated before new processes to minimize risk.
• Develop unit-specific systems to emphasize patient courtesy and responsive service delivery.
• Supervise and resolve patient complaints and requests for service promptly and courteously.
• Adapt interactions to the patient population, including privacy considerations.
• Perform other related duties as required.
