Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Operations Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the department’s appointment desks. You will supervise staff, manage performance, and ensure policies are followed to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.

The role requires 3 years of healthcare leadership experience, a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), and strong communication and delegation skills. A flexible schedule is often required to meet patient needs and department goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of related healthcare/clinical leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Strong communication, delegation and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of department appointment desks and staff.
• Supervises, trains and develops department staff.
• Monitors performance using available data and coaching as needed.
• Ensures internal controls and policies are followed when implementing new processes.
• Develops unit-specific systems to ensure patient courtesy and responsive service.
• Addresses patient complaints promptly and courteously.
• Adapts communication style to diverse patient populations.
