The College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy is seeking a Clinic Office Assistant to manage appointment scheduling for physician follow-ups and coordinate with the Infusion scheduler to keep calendars aligned.
You will support provider schedules, handle copays and payments, answer basic billing questions, process medical records batches, and answer incoming calls, working with the New Patient Coordinator to schedule new patients.
The Clinic Office Assistant is primarily responsible for appointment scheduling of physician follow-ups and coordinating with the Infusion scheduler to make sure appointments are in order. This position will also perform regular maintenance on provider schedules according to the On Call schedule. Also collects copays and payments, answers basic billing questions, processes medical records batches, and answers incoming calls. The MOA will also work in conjunction with the New Patient Coordinator to make sure New Patients are scheduled accordingly. Cross-training may include training at Registration and in New Patient Coordination.
Associate degree preferred but notrequired. Three years in a physician’s office withpreviousscheduling andcollectionsexperience is highly preferred. Experience with the Epic EMR, office skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance terminology as a plus. Excellent communication and computer skills arerequired.
