Job summary

AHN is seeking a Neighborhood Office Assistant (Convenient Care FLOAT) to support busy clinics with front-desk duties, patient check-in/out, and basic insurance verification. This on-site role requires strong customer service and organizational skills in a healthcare setting.

The position involves a mix of 12- and 8-hour shifts including weekends, with clinic hours from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (and weekend coverage). High school diploma or GED and 1 year of healthcare experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year of experience in a health care organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of communication procedures, typing and computer skills.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in HR policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and checking in/out patients.
• Verifying insurance coverage.
• Reviewing patient registration.
• Answering telephones, taking and returning messages.
• Managing flow of virtual waiting room walk-in appointments.
• Distributing incoming mail.
