Job summary
Genoa Healthcare in Minnesota is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and handling clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm CST and Friday 8:30am to 3:00pm CST.
Requires an active Minnesota pharmacy technician license and reliable transportation; preferred experience includes pharmacy data entry.
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Preferred: Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
- Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
- Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
- Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Assists the pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Performs various clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicates effectively with professional verbal and written communication.
