Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and clerical tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm CST with a typical lunch break from 12:00pm–1:00pm. Minnesota licensure or ability to obtain within 14 days, reliable transportation, and pharmacy data entry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire
• Access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records
• Assists pharmacist with pharmacy functions and compliance with federal/state requirements
• Performs clerical duties related to the department
• Maintains strong verbal and written communication with staff and customers
• Other duties as assigned
