Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics is seeking a clinic assistant to provide clinical support in a high-volume orthopedic practice focusing on hand, wrist and elbow care. The role includes both clinical and clerical duties in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a physician office, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a physician office in a clinical capacity.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients to/from clinic areas.
• Assist physicians during office visits.
• Scribe patient information into the EMR system.
• Retrieve patient information from EMR system.
• Conduct preliminary patient evaluations.
• Communicate information with patients as directed by physician.
• Provide appropriate patient education regarding injuries.
• Manage and prioritize phone calls and electronic communication.
• Schedule patient testing.
• Obtain prior authorizations.

Summary/objective

The clinic assistant provides clinical support in a high-volume practice of an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the hand. wrist and elbow. The position is responsible for a wide variety of clinical and clerical duties.
