Job summary

South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine PA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-focused clinic. You will support physicians, prep patients, document in the EMR, and help maintain efficient patient flow across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and a compassionate approach to patient care in orthopaedics and related specialties.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Orthopaedics, pain management, podiatry, or other specialty practice experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy.
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy, high-volume clinic environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork.
  • Current Medical Assistant credentialing or ability to obtain credentialing within six (6) months of hire.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between our Stuart and Port St. Lucie locations

As a Medical Assistant, you'll work alongside physicians and physician assistants to provide exceptional care to patients throughout their treatment journey. You'll help keep clinic operations running smoothly, support providers during patient visits, and ensure every patient feels welcomed, informed, and cared for.

What You'll Do

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Assist patients with mobility needs

Travel Requirements

This position regularly supports multiple clinic locations and requires travel between our Stuart and Port St. Lucie offices as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved travel between office locations in accordance with company policy.
