Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Pittsburgh is seeking a Climbing Lead to champion our climbing department, outfitting customers and activating the in-store rock wall experience. You will drive engagement, deliver training, and oversee everyday operations to ensure a safe, friendly, and educational environment for climbers of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities

Drive the highest level of customer service within the department and uphold selling standards.
Provide consultative advice with product knowledge to customers.
Instruct climbing techniques for explorers of all ages and experience levels.
Teach instructional lessons as needed or requested.
Supervise climb sessions and mentor guides.
Maintain safety and compliance of rock wall and equipment, including SOPs.
Ensure all certifications are current and up to date.
Assist with scheduling, directing workflow, and daily guide assignments.
Communicate programs, promotions and initiatives to department guides.
