Touchstone Climbing is seeking friendly Front Desk staff for Mission Cliffs in San Francisco. This part-time role involves greeting climbers, handling check-ins, memberships, and retail sales while upholding safety standards.

The position requires flexible availability, excellent customer service, and a proactive, calm approach in a fast-paced gym setting. CPR/First Aid is a plus, and benefits include medical FSA and free gym membership.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Passion for climbing and knowledge of climbing terminology and safety practices.
• Ability to remain friendly and calm while handling customer needs.
• Highly self-directed and motivated; take initiative when tasks arise.
• Comfortable working with computers and point of sale systems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service or office management experience is a plus but not required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, check in, and ensure gym policies are followed.
• Answer calls and respond to emails at the front desk.
• Process memberships and online transactions.
• Manage calendar reservations and schedule classes.
• Sell merchandise in the retail shop.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean gym environment.
• Support team and contribute to a positive staff culture.
