Job summary

Central Rock Gym in Fort Collins is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the location General Manager to run daily operations, staffing, payroll, programs, events, route setting, retail, communications, and facility maintenance while fostering a fun and welcoming CRG community.

You will lead by example to provide an outstanding community experience, ensure smooth operation, and support growth of members and programs at the Fort Collins location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years climbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, inclusive environment for all employees, members and guests and ensure the smooth operation of the gym.
• Assist with reporting, meeting goals, and overseeing payroll and expenditures.
• Outstanding customer service with clients.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for operational improvement, marketing strategies, and overall policy implementation while communicating these to and collaborating with corporate staff.
• Manage retail including stock, inventory, and new products.
• Assist in staffing and scheduling including hiring, performance reviews and addressing employee issues.
• Ensure staff are trained, knowledgeable and able to support the facility.
• Ensure facilities and equipment remain clean, functioning, and high quality.
• Support incident reporting, safety reviews, and emergency situations.
• Expert in all CRG programs and options.
• Assist in planning and executing location and brand events including competitions, member nights and special events.
• Maintain knowledge of climbing industry trends.
• Other duties as required.
