Job summary

Central Rock Gym is seeking an Assistant Manager in CT to partner with the General Manager on daily operations, staffing, memberships, programs, events, payroll, and facility maintenance. You will foster a fun, welcoming environment and ensure a smooth operation with a strong CRG community experience.

The role requires 2+ years of climbing and a proactive, approachable leadership style, with CPR/First aid certification preferred and Google Suite experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years climbing required.
• Flexible schedule incl. early mornings, nights & holidays.
• CPR/First aid certified; CWI/AMGA or similar certification highly desirable.
• Approachable and energetic with leadership ability.
• Experience with Google Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, inclusive environment for employees, members and guests and ensure smooth operation of the gym.
• Assist with reporting, meeting goals, and overseeing payroll and expenditures.
• Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement, marketing strategies, and policy implementation; communicate with corporate staff.
• Manage retail including stock, inventory and new products.
• Assist in staffing and scheduling including hiring and performance reviews.
• Ensure staff are trained and able to support the facility.
• Maintain clean, functional, high-quality facilities and equipment.
• Support incident reporting, safety reviews, and emergency situations.
• Be an expert in all CRG programs and options.
• Plan and execute location and brand events including competitions and member nights.
