Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Milford, OH is hiring a Climbing Arborist to join its outdoor team. Office is outdoors, daily view changes, you’ll work at heights and perform tree care duties.

You’ll use DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, prune and remove limbs, install cables, and maintain equipment. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and client service, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and willingness to work at height.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or related outdoor work.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Licenses/certificates for pesticides or related, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood in the canopy safely and skillfully.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain equipment like chainsaws and aerial lifts.
