Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a hard-working Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor team in Youngstown, OH. You will prune and remove trees, climb using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, and collaborate with ground crew to ensure safe, quality work.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and willingness to work outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Must complete Davey Tree orientation program on hire.
• Must complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certifications as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work with crew and ground crew under crew leader supervision.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood in the canopy; install cables and lightning protection.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain/operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
