The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor team in Milford, OH. You will climb trees, prune and remove branches, and perform safety-focused work at client sites with a crew leader and ground crew. This role emphasizes safety, skillful tree work, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide licenses/certificates if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using Davey climbing systems (DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS).
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Prune and remove deadwood, install cables/bracing/lightning protection as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
