The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist in Columbus, OH. Your office is outdoors, and you will climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems to prune and remove hazards for clients.

You’ll work as part of a crew, perform pruning/removal tasks safely, install supports, and maintain all equipment. The company emphasizes safety, training, and opportunities for advancement across numerous locations.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: relevant pesticide licenses/certifications, if required by state law.

Responsabilités

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Removal of hazardous trees.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
