The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in climate/energy policy, strong research and writing skills, and a proactive networker who can navigate regulatory landscapes and advocate effectively for pioneering energy tech ventures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of climate or energy policy experience, including work with startups, consulting, and/or government.
• Excellent research, writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Technical knowledge in climate-related segments (building decarbonization, electrification, resilience, carbon removal).
• Experience navigating state energy regulation or wholesale energy markets.
• Strong networking and advocacy abilities with a broad professional network.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in policy and regulatory areas shaping a sustainable future.
• Build relationships with AHG clients, including founders, VC partners, and corporate leaders.
• Support in-depth policy research and analysis to inform go-to-market and regulatory strategies.
• Craft detailed memos and presentations to advance client outcomes, including testimony before commissions.
• Lead build-out of internal policy resources to streamline AHG’s work.
