Job summary

Harris County in Houston, TX seeks a Client Technology Analyst (Intermediate) to provide desk-side and remote end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers and enterprise apps, resolving hardware and software issues to keep users productive.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/MIS and at least two years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and solid knowledge of PC usage and Microsoft Office; on-site/off-hours work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to escalated requests and coordinate with network, systems and app teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Support endpoint lifecycle activities including imaging, deployment, replacement, and asset inventory.
• Deliver on-site and remote support during activations and special projects to maintain operations.

Position Description

Client Technology Analyst (Intermediate) - Under general supervision provides timely and creative solutions to endpoint issues of moderate to complex nature to ensure end-user productivity. Performs restorative and maintenance actions, either remotely or on-site, to resolve problems using basic troubleshooting and technical skills. Responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software installations, moves, and configuration changes. Maintains accurate information and data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system and according to policies and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide desk-side technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and approved enterprise applications in accordance with established service levels.
• Respond to and resolve escalated service requests assigned by the Help Desk or other IT teams, performing advanced troubleshooting and coordinating with network, systems, and application support staff as needed to ensure timely resolution and documentation.
• Support endpoint lifecycle management activities, including imaging, configuration, deployment, replacement, and maintenance of workstations and peripherals, while maintaining accurate asset inventory and compliance with organizational standards.
• Deliver on-site and remote technical support during emergency activations, continuity events, and special projects, ensuring availability of critical technology resources and operational readiness for impacted users.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience

• Two plus years of relevant experience providing desktop, endpoint, or end-user technical support.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• The ability to interact with staff at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of personal computer usage in a networked environment and various software, specifically Microsoft Office.
