Job summary

Truist is seeking a Collections Specialist for the 1st shift in the United States. This role focuses on collecting delinquent accounts while delivering exceptional client service, in line with policy and guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and related training or experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Achieve performance expectations for collection efforts based on goals (e.g., calls per day, contact percentage, promises/calls ratio).
• Provide cure plans and negotiate payment arrangements to cure delinquency.
• Disclose relevant account information accurately, professionally, and positively.
• Maintain professional client communications with required compliance and quality standards.
• Document all collection efforts in the system per policies and guidelines.
• Follow established call scripts and achieve acceptable call monitoring scores.
• Communicate with Client Default Leaders regarding repossessions and inquiries.
• Process payments and transactions accurately.
• Complete CBT courses accurately and timely.
