Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in Deerfield (24 hours per week) to join our clinical team. The role requires phlebotomy experience and a strong focus on patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, sample processing, and order entry across multiple systems, with adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Monday–Friday shift availability is required, at the client site in Deerfield.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization or training from a phlebotomy program or CMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards.
• Demonstrates patient-centered communication and adherence to safety protocols to minimize errors.
• Receives and reviews physician orders and enters accurate orders for lab tests.
• Processes specimens with labeling, centrifuging, packaging, and timely transport.
• Maintains accurate records and notifies supervisor of any issues with specimens or orders.
