Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist for a full-time, 40-hour week at a client site in Wheaton, IL. Monday through Friday, 9:30am–6pm. Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen processing, and clerical duties within the lab and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization or CMA training, or 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: experience with a broad range of patient types and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and related specimen collections per age-related standards and policies.
• Demonstrates patient communication model and emphasizes post-phlebotomy care.
• Enters orders and verifies test results in multiple systems.
• Maintains specimen integrity through labeling, processing, and proper packaging.
• Adheres to safety, biohazard, and waste procedures; supports a clean work environment.
