Job summary

The Foster Hospital for Small Animals at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is seeking a Client Services Assistant Manager to oversee front-end operations, including check-in/out, collections, and supervision of client service staff.

You will develop and implement client service policies, train staff, and coordinate with the Client Service Director and hospital leadership to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency across the front desk and related administrative

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Five years related experience including customer-service and supervisory experience.
• 1-3 years related experience.
• 1-3 years proven experience establishing and maintaining excellence in customer service and hospitality.
• 1-3 years direct staff supervision; development and training experience.
• Two years accounting experience including reconciliations, invoicing, preparing and discussing estimates with clients.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, EMR, Outlook and Jabber.
• Strong writing and public speaking skills.
• Certifications in office management, leadership development, coaching or client service areas; veterinary terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front-end operations including patient check-in/out and collections.
• Supervise Reception Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors and Client Service Assistants.
• Develop policies and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Hire and onboard front desk staff; coordinate training and continuing education.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve front desk and administrative workflows.
