Job summary

SGS, the world's leading testing, inspection and certification company, is seeking a Client Service Project Manager to plan, implement, and manage LIMS and related environmental monitoring projects in our laboratory network.

You will coordinate software implementations, support acquisitions integrations, track KPI's, and mentor staff while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or closely related field.
• 7–10 years in a supervisory or project management role within a laboratory or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project progress and deliver status reports, timelines, issues, risks and action items to stakeholders and team members.
• Develop, maintain, and participate in project plan for lab implementation of LIMS system and projects enhancing functionality of LIMS system.
• Assist in acquisition activities and lead LIIMS integration projects to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Understands all applicable aspects of the project, including rationale for the project, regulations that affect the project, different methods employed by the client and laboratory to produce result.
• Coordinate implementation of quality software platform across all food laboratories and manage and communicate enhancements to the software package.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements within the Laboratory Information Management System.
• Trend, track and report operational KPI’s, quality parameters, errors and progress on projects to upper management.
• Mentor and train employees on LIMS functions; assess training needs and competencies across the business.
