Job summary

MetLife seeks a Service Academy Trainee to join the Group Benefits team. This full-time training program transitions recent graduates into Client Service Consultants who deliver customer-centric solutions for MetLife group insurance customers.

The four-month program combines classroom and on-the-job learning, guided by a mentor, to build understanding of MetLife’s products and systems while supporting customer needs and audits. AI tools will assist with drafting and organization.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role open to recent graduates
• 0–3 years of customer-service or account management experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote)
• Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, customer service, verbal and written communication
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; working knowledge of AI capabilities is a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete the 4-month Service Academy Program with classroom and on-the-job learning
• Work with a mentor to understand MetLife’s Group Benefits products, services, and systems
• Support an assigned block of customers and help solve problems to meet needs
• Participate in client audits and strategic planning, generating reports and tracking progress
• Use approved AI tools to draft, summarize, and organize information to improve day-to-day efficiency
